I believe that equity and inclusion is not a checklist, but the right thing to do.
My vision is safer, more inclusive and caring workplaces, organizations and relations where all women can thrive.
The values that guide ALG’s vision include: empowerment, respect, integrity, authenticity, compassion and depth/sustainability:
- Respect: As human beings, we all deserve respect even when we disagree. I focus on increasing awareness, and changing behaviours, rather than toxic blame and shame.
- Empowerment: I build capacity of organizations and people to bring about the change they want to see.
- Authenticity: I am upfront in my feedback, interactions and guidance. The personal is political and personal! I bring my whole self to work.
- Depth and sustainability: I believe that equity and inclusion is not a checklist, but the right thing to do and will support you to move from compliance to action.
- Compassion: We all fear change. Changing attitudes and behaviours is a long term process. Compassion is not rationalizing, excusing or minimizing harmful behaviour and requires accountability.
- Integrity: I align my words with my actions.
We will start from where you are, while pushing critical reflection and growth to bring about positive change. My workshops are accompanied by coaching and policy support to help you implement sustainably.
